Gutshof Monchsheide in Bad Breisig

It was cold. Food is plentiful, expensive and of good quality.

For hikers with and without a dog, this is a wonderful place to spend the day. You can go for a walk here, small and large, and relax with a view of the estate or the glider airfield. In the middle of the hike there is also the opportunity to take a break at the Schäferhütte.

A rustic restaurant with a harmonious decoration awaits you at Gutshof Mönchsheide. The staff is very nice and attentive and not too pushy, as you experience in many restaurants. The two meals we ordered were delicious and the meat was cooked on point and soft as butter. Price-performance definitely fits together here. Getting there is a bit of a problem, as the navigation system can't handle the paths that you have to use to get to the restaurant by car. The approach is via the town of Franconia and along the airfield. We were very satisfied and will definitely come back again. Hopefully next time I won't have the same mental skip as last time when it comes to tips.

We were passing through and wanted somewhere good to eat. Came across here by chance. Everything booked on Saturday evening. Fortunately, there was still more than an hour left and we were allowed to stay for dinner. We were granted it. Fortunately, because the food was nothing short of great. The skin-baked pike-perch fillet was cooked to perfection. What a ?? cook and great service. Thank you and see you next time, where we will make a reservation just to be sure ?
